Meredith Salenger

Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She was an avid child and enjoyed doing shows in front of family and friends. Her mom took her to her first acting class at the age of eight old. The John Huston directed film Annie in which she was an unimportant role, in which she was called a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. Salenger made her debut as a lead part for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann, the Disney movie starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to be awarded the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. The film was named "Best Actress in Drama" by the Youth in Film Awards, for portraying the tomboyish Natty.
